Community Meeting and Walking Tour of VA Square Area

I wanted to pass on to you information about a community meeting and walking tour of the Virginia Square area. This will begin the community process for the Virginia Square Sector Plan review.

The Arlington County Department of Community Planning, Housing and Development will host a meeting on Saturday, February 24, 2001 at the GMU Law School, 3401 Fairfax Drive, in Room 329. Coffee and Danish/Doughnuts will be provided starting at 9:00 am. The meeting will begin at 9:30 am.

There will be an introduction to the review process for the Virginia Square Sector Plan, a briefing on the history of planning efforts in the area, and a walking tour of Virginia Square. The walking tour will take place between 10:00 am and 11:30 am. The tour will begin and end at GMU.

Participants will be provided with clipboards and map sheets and asked to provide comments. These comments will be compiled and used to aid disscussion in the next community meeting that will be held in March.

The rain date for the first meeting and walking tour is Saturday, March 3, 2001.
